Peyton H. Hurt, MD

Dr. Hurt grew up in Charlottesville and received his B.A. at Haverford College in French Literature. He received his M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and trained as an intern in Pediatrics then as a resident in Psychiatry and a Child & Adolescent Fellow at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is accredited by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Psychiatry and in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He spent 25 years in the U.S. Army as a Psychiatrist, including stints as the training director for the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Tripler Army Medical Center, as the Psychiatric Consultant to the European Regional Medical Command while treating children, adolescents and young adults.  He and his wife live in Charlottesville with their two children.
